Matthias ZentgrafPresident, European Business CATL

Matthias Zentgraf is President, European Business at CATL. He is responsible for developing CATL’s European business and building the company’s profile amongst automotive OEMs, intralogistic customers & energy storage market.
Matthias has 31 years of experience in the automotive industry. Of those, he has already spent the last seven years developing Lithium-Ion battery applications for the automotive industry.

Matthias holds a degree in mechanical engineering, focusing on internal combustion engines and turbo machines in his research activities. One of his prior roles included the system development as well as the series introduction of drive-by-wire systems. Moreover, Matthias was also actively involved in launching highly integrated air fuel modules and systems for internal combustion engines into the market.

Holding several patents for Powertrain systems, Matthias was Director Business Development for Air Fuel Modules & key account manager for Powertrain systems, which included development and sales in numerous segments, including fuel injection, engine controls, drivetrain electrification, sensors and mechatronic actuators.
